キレイな切れ味を誇るボッシュコードレスジグソー：GST18V-LIS
今回は気持ちの良い天候のもと、ジグソーを使った切断に挑戦！ まさに作業日和な日差しの中、既存の棟木（むなぎ）に合わせて垂木（たるき）を加工するため切断作業を進めるラガーさん。
広々とした屋外のスペースで作業ができるのも、ラガーさんのリノベーション現場ならではです！
使用したのは安定した作業ができると定評のある18Vコードレスジグソー（GST18V-LIS）と、木材の切断には、非常にきれいな切断面に仕上がるジグソーブレード（T-308B）を合わせて使用しています。このジグソーはドイツではマイスターが木工の切断加工時に必ず使用するバレルデザインのグリップ形状が特徴です。
この形状は、ジグソーの本体を材料表面に近い場所で安定して保持できるため、木材の切断において直角の切断や、厚い材料、硬い材料でケガキ線通りの精密な切断に適しています。
最初はマルチツールを使って木材の切断を行いましたが、よりきれいな切断面の仕上げを望み、ジグソーを使って再度切断を行ってみました。 それではジグソーの切断面とマルチツールの切断面を比較してみましょう。
写真上部がマルチツールを使用した際の切断面です。様々な作業に使用出来るので非常に便利なマルチツールですが、ジグソー使用時と比較し、がたつきが気になります。
建物の壁への開口や狭い場所での切断作業時にはマルチツールが適していますが、今回の様なにあらかじめ材料を取り付ける前の切断作業にはジグソーが適しているのが解りますね。
今回切断した木材は、建物を支える大事な梁をしっかりと固定するために使用されます。隙間なく固定するためにも正確な切断が必要とされました。このような作業にはジグソーがお勧めです。
Cutting solid woods with Bosch cordless jigsaw: GST18V-LIS
Mr. Rager used jigsaw for cutting woods for roofing in his yard. It is pleasant to work in outdoor surrounded beautiful nature.
This time, Mr. Rager used the Bosch 18V cordless jigsaw “GST18V-LIS” and a jigsaw blade “T-308B” for cutting woods at this time. This cordless jigsaw is designed with a unique narrow barrel grip that the wood working meisters must use in Germany.
This shape allows to keep the tool is stably working in the closest position of a surface of the material, therefore, it is suitable for cutting on right angle, thick and hard woods, and precise cutting along the marking line.
He used a Multi-tool at the first time for cutting woods, but the finishing was not very clean. He tried the second round with a jigsaw, and he has got the finishing that he wanted.

The Multi-tool is very convenient, but surface finishing is not so smooth compared with finishing by the Jigsaw. The Multi-tool is a good tool for various application such as dismantling windows, renovating expansion joints, and cutting slots and able to cut various materials as well, so definitely good to have for self-renovation site.
However, for clean finishing surface, the winner was a jigsaw.
The wood cut this time is used for supporting a roof, so a clean cut surface was necessary to secure its durability. Jigsaw is the best tool for such a precisive wood cutting jobs.
